Lazy

This is a great weekend off day for me. So I'm just filling some time by doing some random blogging. Right now I have so many topics to write about but then right now I am not motivated to do so. Haha! Let's say there are a couple of topics such as metrosexuality, gays & lesbians, some simple topics on everyday life. Hmmm...well...I feel like taking a short nap.

Haha! Went through my phone's photo album and came across this photo. Its kind of nice as it looks like Chyn is thanking the Lord for the food on the table. Amen to that. Haha! Oh...but wait. It seems he already started eating. Guess he's just savouring the food so it would last longer. Lol!

My Dinner

Hohohoho! This is my dinner for the night as my parents and everyone went on a trip to Miri. So I got lazy and decided to make full use of the phone. Oh well I couldn't finish all of it and so some was being put away though. 

Let's see...I've been doing nothing for the whole day other than sinking my nose to all things with a screen namely my PSP, the TV and my laptop. Hmmm....yesterday was a Valentine's Day. 

Hope everyone is enjoying themselves. As for me nothing much though. Just was quite happy and content because I get to spend quiet time for me and only myself. Well its nothing to be sad as some of you might have this idea saying that on a special day...try to get out of the house. Hmmm...well for myself I have a different opinion. Having some time alone by yourself and doing things that you don't get to do much often. I regard this as a luxury. Other than that I manage to catch up with some sleep. As when I was reading through Kiaki's blog, I find it pretty amusing. Why do I say that? Its because I think most people have a wrong perception regarding Valentine. Its just some simple day with an added special occasion for some people. I'm not saying that those who are not couple are not eligible to join the club. Well even single people can go out and have fun with others who are single too.

At the same time while I am blogging, I am also watching a TV show on AXN. Its called 'The Duke'. It talks anything that's smart, sophisticated and stylish men will naturally be interested in. It's a glossy men's magazine talk show that will feature topics ranging from politics, finance, business, sex, health and wellness. Its kind of interesting on how people are focusing on the men's market now. Long time ago it was said that women's money are the easiest to earn. Focusing on cosmetics, perfumes, clothes and all sorts. Right now men have their own line of cosmetics and so on. Well I'm not ashamed saying that I do love to look good and feel good. Maybe you all can consider me as a metrosexual. Hahahaha! So who should be blamed for this term being invented. Can we say it all comes from David Beckham? Lol...If I'm not mistaken, he started with the manicure and pedicure thingy. It kind of shocked the world but then guess everyone started to accept it. Just because its David??? 

My 2 Sick Days!!!

Greetings everyone. Being sick is not a fun thing to be. Well…not really as being able to sleep all you want at home and not required to worry too much of going to work is also considered a good thing.

Well as a matter of fact, without FaceBook, I think I might be bored to death. As going outside seems like a chore to me as the sun was kind of scorching and I do not feel like it during the day. Therefore I’ll click the life away in FB. Other than that I guess taking all those medicine had slowed my reactions. Must be those antibiotics. Was pushing myself to finish them as I had a feeling that in the coming days, I do not have the time to be sick. Hmmm…there will be a lot of things to do in the office. Oh crap….! Today I felt better and the inflammation at my throat die down, I think I will be able to speak properly. Lol…Cause for the first day, it got swollen and eventhough it does not hurt that much, I felt a bit reluctant to speak. Lol!!! Oh well tomorrow is the day I get back to work…..

A Very Tragic Story.

As according from what I had read from the blog of Kiaki’s (http://mykiaki.blogspot.com/), its really shocking and scary at the same time as what had the world sink into. What is really wrong with some of the people? Take for example, few years back, it happened in Indonesia where the ethnic people rape and killed the Indo-China people there in Indonesia. They are already considered themselves to be Indonesians. So what makes them so different and all of them to be subjected to such horror and punishment. Even the young ones are not being spared. I guess most of you had seen the pictures being sent through the e-mail. It’s so inhumane. So therefore this brings back another topic as being discussed in Kiaki’s blog – Humanity. Let’s put it this way, in the scenario where the Indonesians rape and kill others who are Chinese. What makes them so human and who are among them to judge them on what they did is correct. They say it is ethnic cleansing but then in my own opinion, its just plain bullshit and are trying to vent out their anger and trying to get back what they thought is theirs. I cannot say much as I regardless do not know much about their way of living and their way of thinking. However what makes them to think that they are so right that they would go on raping people and not even that, even those as young as 8 are being raped. Its definitely frightening as what is happening right now. Furthermore, the actions that were being done by them are imprinting a really bad name to others who are working somewhere else especially in foreign countries as maids or domestic workers. Its like they are bringing down their own country and also their own pride.

As for the recent cases that had happened around Malaysia, please readers. take extra precautions in going out alone. Try not to go home too late especially you are working late. Its time to think of your own safety than thinking of your company’s work.

Valentine’s Day Is Round The Corner.

Oh well today’s a bit better for me as my throat is not as swollen as yesterday and the flu kind of died down I guess. However the dizziness is still there as I think it might be the work of the medicine that I had taken yesterday. I guess the post I made yesterday was kind of like a bit of a venting outlet for me as that time I was feeling unwell and stuffs like that. All in all…its just nothing. Life will still go on and it won’t stop when you whine all the time. Luck will even run away when you are down in the slumps all the time. Lol! Oh well…Been looking for a great year ahead of me though. CNY had just passed round the corner and if I am not mistaken, Valentine’s Day is really coming soon.

So what or who is Valentine? I guess not many people knew about this and had been celebrating that day ever since they heard about it. Normally it is being celebrated on the 14th of February. So let’s get to the root of Valentine. According to History.com, cited from the website regarding the history of Valentine, it stated that according to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl — who may have been his jailor's daughter — who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France. So its understandable where people are giving away flowers and love notes to their loved ones during this time of the year.

Another thing that shrouded me in darkness is what’s with all those chocolates? Of all things…why chocolates? Correct me if I’m wrong. Might it be the cause of the word ‘sweet’? Hmmm…because chocolates are sweet and this is one of the way that they represent their loved ones telling them that they are sweet. Well a cute cuddly bear would do too. I guess someone should give me an insight on these things as I went through the Internet, there are not many specific answers. Guess its all in the mindset being imprinted into our minds through the media especially the television.

A Little Bit of Courtesy Goes A Long Way.

Ahhh….today’s topic going to be a little bit more of the bookish type. Let’s ask everyone what is the meaning of courtesy? Well according to a source cited from http://ardictionary.com/, it gives courtesy a meaning of ‘a courteous or respectful or considerate act’. Recently there have been quite a few happenings that kind of upsets and at the same time bring sadness into my days. Why do you say so? Hmmm…let’s see…all in all, it won’t kill you to ask someone whether he or she wanted to come along even though you don’t see him today. It might be a small matter but however its just plain old annoying. Take for example, last night I really had the intention of asking a friend of mine to go dinner together and I have no idea on what is the upcoming event that had been in store for me. Once I reached there, I saw a lot of familiar faces and suddenly it struck me real hard. I was planning to just leave as I somehow felt unwelcomed as there were no invitation given to me. Looking at it, I was kind of pissed and come to think of it, I just decided to stay around as not to bring something not nice to other people especially to my friend. To me it just felt intentional but then when there are reasons to cover everything up which I find its just plain bullshit. I might  be over sensitive but then I should be getting over it. Things had just been so bland and I somehow is losing faith in all these things.

Right now I am having a bad case of sore throat and also a minor flu. Just hope for the best to come and my sickness comes to an end soon. Hmmm….shit….is this some signs that I am being emo. Damn….!!!

High Tide…Crisis At Office???

Well….what do you know. Our office right now is facing the high tide once again. Guess this would normally happen every now and then depending on the sea level though. As for this day, we have no choice but to get out of here early. Lol…I’m so damn happy that we were given such privilege. As a matter of fact, there is not much things that could be done though. I think no where else in Brunei that we had an occasional flood at the office. Worse come to worse, the water level was so high that even big cars would be so wounded coming in and out. So I guess this makes the office quite unique from the others. Bummer….my car….my car….its like it can turn into a boat anytime….but it can’t…

Hohoho! Oh my…this shot was taken when I somehow forgot to pick someone up….So sorry ar Wai…I was on my way out and suddenly an unknown number shown up. When I picked it up and heard a familiar voice, I knew I had forgotten something. Kekekekeke! The water was getting higher and so I waited for him at the security post. Wai seems pretty happy. Maybe because its the cold water which excites him?? Lol!!!

  This is where I took a picture of my car at the lowest water level in the office. This was near the security post. Hmmm…Ming was busy taking shots too. Luckily on that day there was no rain. I tell you people, IF it really rain, the sight will not be beautiful…however to me and some of my fellow brothers, its a beautiful sight to behold…lol….

The Lucky Cat?

Hmmm...this kitty here should be the culprit here. With this cat's presence, guess the owner had all the luck on the gambling table. Haha! Well just kidding. Can't really blame a cat for the money that we all lost on the table. During that day, this cat was kind of moody. It almost scratch and bit me when I tried to give it a pat. Phew...! To me the cats makes us look like their slave rather than their masters. Why you ask? Because we would go to them and make them purr-fectly comfortable.
